ok so i just got my new mod. for my underglow so that i can use a remote to operate it, so i take it out of the packaging and the wires are broken all over the place. (power and ground) so i seperated the wires and used about a roll of electrical tape on both the power and ground wire so that i wouldnt get a fire happening, and installed the unit. I should be safe right?

 

Wait is the unit installed inside your truck? if so you should be ok. But if this is supposed to be a new unit i would send it back and tell them to fix the wires!

 

yea its inside but im pretty sure that they would send a new one and it would be the same shlt because the way they package it its wrapped too tight and when you unroll the wire it cracks

cut it out and replace the wiring or buy a whole new set. No, that is not safe at all.
