Tested my new projectors tonight to make sure everything was set up right before I paint the housings and the shrouds.

Painted the shrouds today, and prepped most of the other parts for paint. I love this color, with the clear-coat too its incredibly wet looking.

Dupont basecoat - ppg clearcoat. Since I work with body & paint customization I get the paint directly from PPG and Dupont.

Off-topic, but would you tint tail lights? I'd like to have some done professionally with automotive clear and black mixed for the tint.

I've seen it done. It actually turns out VERY well on taillights, not so much headlights. If you need the mixture, i can probably call the guy up and get it for you.

I don't get involved with tint, know someone who was denied insurance coverage in a rear end collision due to tint on his tail lights.

Yeah, definitely have to be aware of the laws in your area. In NM there isn't a problem with a certain percentage of tinting.

Jp7, Ever get the blue head lights complete? Not rushing, just wondering.

The white headlights and tails came out great. I think the blue will coming out even better than the other set.

Good call on practicing on the white Ranger first.

They are almost done. If I'm lucky I'll have them done this weekend. All I need to do is triple check my projector alignment and assemble everything, then seal them up.

Designed some beauty shields to fit around the projector. They will be exposed, also I will paint them to match the body.

I sandblasted the polished stainless steel beauty ring, so I could paint it. I also cut my beauty shields from Plexiglas
.

I painted the cutoff shield bright orange, so it looks orange when the projectors are off. Also here are the beauty rings painted to match the body.

Painted beauty shields

Sorta how it will look when it's all together
