ABS light staying on

So i parked the truck at the g/fs went out. Came back went to leave lights on.

I havent checked the fuses yet but from searching the forum, most say the dash lights dont work etc, my dash lights all work, brakes fine. but the light is staying on. I am runing stoptech rotors/axxis pads, i was told by someone on here that the rotors have caused abs issues. Wondering if anyone has found a solution to that? Any other possible ideas or what to check beyond the sensors/fuses?

I am not sure if low brake fluid in your reservoir would set off a code?

just disconnect the battery for like 5 minutes then hook it back up. if the light is still on after that then you should look into it but if it doesn't come back i wouldn't worry about it
mine comes on sometimes after wheeling and i do that and its gone and my brakes work fine abs works fine i have tested it in the rain and it works properly

It could be a problem with low fluid. Usually anytime there is a fault in the system both lights come on. This fault could be low fluid. Check your fuses too. Your dash lights will come on if that fuse is blown.

Check the obvious and cheap before going any further. Checking the fluid level and fuse....cheap and obvious.

If it dosent subside you can take it to a shop and they have a special code reader for the ABS light

yea i know they do, i used to work at several shops- i just dont want to pay the 80 bucks for them to scan it and tell me what sensor is bad.

Its not the fuses or the brake fluid level, its a sensor-i have a feeling its my pass side front one. but we'll see when i take it to a shop.

if your talking about the fused wiring harness that gets pluged in under the hood thats already been fixed. I think its a blown sensor, or my stoptech rotors are giving me problems..

The one in my dads truck came on and it ended up being the sensor thing that is in the rear diff. Metal shaving are attracked to the sensor thing since it is magnetic. It make the ABS light come on. Pulled the plug and cleaned it. ABS light turned off.

might be your wheel bearing/hub assembly. The speed sensor located in the wheel bearing has gone bad. Just get the code for which side it is and replace that one. I had this problem last winter. I replaced both wheel bearings at the same time and I havent had a problem since.
