Seatbelt unbuckling itself
My passenger seat belt unbuckles itself randomly. I don't want it to become unbuckled in a crash and have one of my friends get hurt, especially since there is usually always someone in the truck with me in the passenger seat. I haven't really messed with it too much, anything I should look at or anyone else have this happen? I happens maybe once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less.

I used to have a 1991 civic with the automatic belts, kastner honda of napa, ca tried to tell me that i was responible for replacement of the motor if it was due to unreasonable wear and tear .... im like if these motors are so great then why did honda stop putting em in all their cars in 92? ... they kept bull****ting so i called honda and they sent me a letter REQUIRING any honda dealer to replace the belt and any associated accessories free of charge regardless of the cause ... i did however take it to a different dealership and ended up making sure anyone else i knew with a honda didnt ever go to kastner for anything

and if the dealer gives you **** call ford. From what i understand manufactures who sell cars in the us are legally required to lifetime warranty belts cause its a safety issue

Not sure if this will work for you, but it worked for my Ranger.
I sprayed some WD40 in the buckle, and pressed the button a bunch of times without the seat belt in it. Then I put the seat belt in a bunch of times.
It stopped coming undone since.
I'm not sure about a standard lifetime warranty on safety equipment. Sounds fishy to me.
