buckets

was on cardomain saw this guys ranger, 2000, with a 60/40, same as me, saw he did a bucket seat conversion real easy. He cut the foam, then cut of the metal, and wrapped them both with seat covers. I saw in the how-to tho you had to sew some stuff and junk. could i do just what this guy did, and wrap it in a seat cover? and be okay? heres his pics

why not take an extra half hour out of your life and make it look professional instead of covering up your hacked seats with cheesy covers

Exactly. Mine turned out pretty good, only because i started off taking just a little foam off, then trimming it up more till it looked pretty stock, instead of a big gash like that one. A console will make it look MUCH better as well, like highroller suggested. Good luck man!

Any blemishes were covered by the center console when I added it. I just folded the fabric down and you can't tell it wasn't originally a bucket.

That's how I did it, I trimmed a little at a time to get it to look the way I wanted it to look and there is only one spot that doesn't look factory, and imo it doesn't even look to bad. I do not like the seat covers covering up a crappy hack job, put the extra effort in and you'll be glad you did. Here is a link to pics. of mine: https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=19064

i seem to have a slope so to speak in the floor, where the console was? like its kinda down hill, this gonna be a problem with a center console?

it's possible. I know on some rangers there's a lifted rectangle area going across the middle of the floor for no apparent reason (anybody know what that's for?), but with the right console anything's possible. You could also venture into fiberglassing the missing space. just fill it in so it looks normal.
