well i just picked up the fx4 buckets a few days ago and the mod bug is still in me so i went back, picked up the rear jump seats and all this other stuff while i was there haha...kinda pissed though i ran over the hvac controls so its now WRECKED!!! damnit i wanted that in so bad too. o well here are some pics.. the seats are already in the truck but i didn't take a pic.

the white face gauges will take a while i need to take my time with those since i gotta sand the back of the overlays for my blue LED's to shine through but the bezel will be in tomorrow and my stock hvac is going back in for the time being til i get a new one wtf lol

 

for some reason, their no good stuff at the junkyards around here...

 

small update. Bezel installed rear seats installed. now i am working on my overlays but ill finish it up tomorrow since i have to go to work soon

 

what happened to your old rear seats? and what is plugged into the cigarette lighter that runs into your head unit?

 

my old seats are in the basement with my front 60/40s. they were grey. i just picked up the front bucket black seats from an fx4 a few days ago. these new back ones are leather. and my radar detector is whats plugged into my 12v outlet

It all looks good, but i would wire the radar detector different to get the plug out of sight.

 

thats temporary. im going to splice another power outlet behind the radio and it won't be seen. im just getting lazy on that project haha.

 

well i don't have to go to work today...guess its a good and bad thing at the same time but they said ill have an extra shift next week so its all good. ill be finishing my cluster today i guess haha time to rip apart the ranger....again

Did that fx4 have a gas tank skid??

no to both lol. it was just the cab of the truck with no frame on the ground. no bed or anything. just the interior haha. i would of been all over the front skid if it had it i need one my gauges and everything are complete. i think i might make a new thread lol

 

how do you guys get this stuff so easily? Every time I go to the JY all the good stuff in the Explorers is GONE. And I hardly ever see 93-current Rangers there, forget about FX4's.

those seats are Fx4 Off Road seats, not Level2 seats everyones all hot about. lol. But I'm hot about them!! DAMNIT!! Are they driver and passenger lumbar??

 

well if you can find an FX4 w/ manual trans I want the chrome shifter and ****. Its a helluva longshot though

 

lol. it only has the driver lumber and i use it lol i like it. its good on the back. the level 2 seats are the taller ones with like the square top right? i did see those before but they were gone within a week after i saw them and i just had to get rid of the damn 60/40 and i like these a lot. not too much of a fan for a really tall seat. if i find another set of them they're yours lol depending how much money i have at the time (if i find them) ill prob split shipping since u want these so bad haha

ill take a look around and let you know whenever i find one. im sure i can find one its just goign to take a few trips to different yards.

 

02 Fx4 and 03 Fx4L2s are just like what you got in shape, but driver and passenger lumbar, and there's the differences in fabric. 04-05 were supertall seats that like go all the way up to the ceiling. lol. 06+ got a slimmed up version of the 04-05 that actually dont hinder the blind spot like the 04-05's do. lol.
