JunkYard Score!!

I got to spend some quality time in the local junk yard on Monday--Picked up an Exploder OHC, temp sensor, dome light(Mustang/older Ranger style with the map lights), radio bezel, a spare fog light switch, and some misc. bulbs for $35. I was shocked-there must have been 30 Explorer/Mounties there--it's been a while since I was there. Already got the bezel modded with a second fog light switch and covered with carbon fiber Di-Nok-looks pretty good.

Consider yourself lucky, around here there isn't crap for explorer/mountaineer donors.

Looks good! Did your center console come like that or did you paint it?

Thanks. I painted the lower portion with grey Fusion to break it up a little bit-there was just too much black on it and it ties it in with the rest of the interior better. You can't really see it in the picture, but there is also carbon fiber Di-Noc around the cup holders and the airbag switch.

3M Di-Noc carbon fiber vinyl. It's pretty cool stuff, but expensive-I wasted a crap-load of it trying to cover the black door trim pieces(where the lock & window switches are) and still was not happy with how they came out, so I'm currently working on someting different for those.

Oh yeah--I forgot about the dual fog light switch mod. Now i just need a set of driving lights.
I got a lot of positive comments on the carbon fiber at the show this weekend, so that's a plus.
