Ive been thinking Of installing a power Inverter In my Truck

For charging Computer, Camera Battery and other things

this is what im lookin at

Whistler - 200-Watt Power Inverter - PI-200W

Im gonna hard wire it. Think I might put it under the passenger seat. or mounted to the jump seat. Let me know If yall know of any others that are fairly inexpensive but good inverters that wont catch my truck on fire

I have a 400 watt Black and decker that I hard wired and put inside my explorer console. Worked great, was a pretty good price too. Make sure to use the right gauge wire though.

Toaster oven? lol

A 200 watt will run all that stuff fine. Laptop chargers only pull 80-130 watts normally.

Now toaster oven will probably pull a lot of watts, it'll depend on the model.

Just spend the money and get like a 1000w one. I'm going to be buying a 1000w one this summer and running an extension cord from it to the bed and am going to cut a hole for my outlets.

Haha thats just a random thing to bring with you camping, I never thought of that one. I would go with a 1000 watt if your going to do that, better safe than sorry.

IMO don't go cheap if you plan on using it a lot. We use them everyday in our work trucks to run laptops and printers. I can't remember the wattage on mine now but it is a black and decker model and cost around 80 bucks.

All the cheap ones they have got have burned up

His looks OE. We got a double plug outdoor plug and painted it black to match the Line-X. It's a clean set-up for sure.

I put one in every vehicle I own. put the inverter behind the dash and install a single outlet in the center console. I love it and comes in really handy.

Tacomas had an option for a plug in the bed, maybe you could snag one out of a JY.

I have a 900 watt RMS inverter and I wouldnt recommend going any lower, as for plugs just hardwire the unit under your seat and take out the built in plugs off the unit and relocate them to wherever. Autozone/lordco has the automotive plugs similar to what the taco's use aswell

I don't know if the states has lordco's but it's a similar store to autozone and yes, I have seen similar setups to those

Damn our autozone doesn't carry any 110 volt automotive plugs. I'd love to have something like in my bed.

I have a 1500 Watt RMS inverter I picked up from Harbor Freight 3 years ago. Works great, never had a problem with it, and I paid about 60 dollars for it.
