temp controls

I saw in someones sig on here but cant remember who's a temp control set up that was buttons and not *****. What can I get a set up like thos eout of? I have looked in Explorers and a few other Ford car models but always just find the **** setup. Anyone know?

I think your talking about climate control, its gotta be a b%*^# to put in. I think they came in explorers and sport tracks but not every one of them had it.

it is the EATC (Electronic Automatic Temperature Control). it really isn't that bad to install. If you take your time and follow John Grigg's (n3elz) How-To on his Car Domain, it is fairly easy.

There is only 2 new wires you have to run, which goes to the front of the truck for the temp sensor. All the other wires use existing wires that are already in the truck for the existing HVAC controls.

any specific years that these were in Explorers and Sport Tracs? I really like the looks of it. THis will bolt into a 2000 without to much effort? Anyone got any pics of it?

this will "bolt into" the stock HVAC controls, but there is some extensive wiring that needs to be done....do a search for "n3elz". then look at his car domain page. there is a how to on there on pages 14-19 detailing how to install the EATC in a Ranger...

here it is installed in my truck:
