Found you when looking for an answer...
I joined this site because I had questions reguarding the PVH system that is installed on my 99...That thing is a piece but I was able to fix it!!
My name is Josh Neimetz I go to the University of Akron in Ohio. I have a stock 1999 V6 4.0. It has 265/75R15 Bridgestone Duelers. I just replaced both emergancy brake cables/shoes, springs and self adjusters in the rear. I plan to put a 3in body lift this weekend. I will be posting in the "lift/suspension threads" for more info on options for raising my suspension. Also my sstock wheels begun to corrode so i painted them black...that made them look pretty good for a few months but I look to get some Cragar 5 star black powder coat after the snow is done flying up here in cold northeastern ohio.
Thanks for having me! and I always appreciate suggestions/questions/comments

HarryTasker: I know the name may be obsolete for the moment but I can always just point to the rust I try to "fix"...idk I like it.
Orangeredge2: I did not put AVM's on it. Everyone seems to go that route but I put some serious time figuring everything there needs to know about the PVH and was able to trouble shoot mine. If there is ever a problem I can narrow it down pretty quickly now. It should be good to go. Ill keep you posted though. (I really like good gas mileage and shift on the fly all in one)
I'll try to get a pic of my truck right now it looks a little dirty not very nice. Ill get it washed and snap a few pics. Then ill take more when I get the body lift done. (any pointers are welcome i just plan on following the directions and have my buddy help muscle the bed/cab to lift it.)
I helped put a BL on my 1990 2wd ranger 4 years ago but the my uncle pretty much knew what he was doing I didnt do too much. It was a very nice truck we put american racing rims on with 30'' tires with the body lift...all the body work was done and it looked pretty imaculate. I loved the truck but without 4x4 the relationship had to end. I was happy to get almost 1500 out of it when I sold it had about 100,000 miles
