Icon7 Hello from AR

Youngest son wrecked the 02 Ranger I bought him and now I'm working on the fixing it. I'm not much for paying others to fix things if I don't have to. I'm pretty good with tools, always have a project going on plus I have another son who's damn good with fixing vehicles (thank goodness he loves his mama...lol). Still, that leaves me to do the research and finding (and paying) for parts. Pics of the truck at the scene of the crime are posted. First things first, I have to replace the driver side door (no problem finding this) and the bed. I'm trying to decide if I can replace the fiberglass bed side or if I need to go ahead and replace the whole bed. Bed side is really only the thing that was damaged. Definitely having trouble finding a bed or bed sides.

Not sure this essay is what they were expecting when they said "introduce yourself" but figured I might as well state why I'm here.

Feel free to respond with suggestions for other forums to help with this project.

welcome to the board, and if you can try and locate an entire bed that would be the best idea IMO

did a google search and maybe call some of these guys ... looks like the majority of wrecking yards near you are in the little rock area

Thanks for the welcomes and suggestions. I've checked a few of the salvage yards but no luck so far.

Even harder to find it seems is the ONE wheel he destroyed!! Of course the wheels are discontinued and since the tires are brand new for 20" rims stock wheels are not an option at this time...lol.

Welcome to R/F

Just saw the pics. Sorry to hear about your son. Hope he's alright.

I think you'd have better luck replacing the entire bed rather than a bedside.

I think you should send me the grill though lol

He's fine, not even a scratch although he might be hurting after we get out of court tomorrow...we find out how much his ticket will be tomorrow.

I think I have located a bed (they haven't called back yet so I'm still waiting) and someone sent me a link I'll have to call tomorrow. It appears they may have the discontinued wheel I need to replace. I'm definitely going to get her put back together but I'm taking my time to prove a point...lol.

If something should happen that I decide not to fix her up, I will definitely send you the grill...lol.
