Grille idea for 98-00

So first off, I can't help being cheap. I just can't help it.

I was reading some thread on here and someone had some neat looking grille inserts that I really liked. So I looked around and couldn't really find much for my model year.

So I took a trip to ACE and found some "Boltmaster® 13ga Expanded Steel Sheet". I figured I could take some of that, paint it a gray color similar to my bumper and have a neat gray/black look to the front. My bumper is gray, grille is black. My only thing I don't know yet is how to mount it behind the grille but in front of the radiator. I haven't taken the grille off yet...just an idea. Project should cost about 30 bucks + cost of rattle can.

its even cheaper than that! go to homedepot, and get two sheets of 3' gutter guard. Bend them flat. remove the grill. Zip tie the sheets together to make them one piece...the seam will be in the middle of the grill (hidden). bend the metal over the sides and hot glue it to the inside of the grill... I know there is a write up somewhere...i think its on therangerstation....
