Darkened tail lights. Yes or no??
My buddy has this paint that darkens the lights and he did it on his truck. I was thinkin about doing it on mine but didnt know how it would look. What y'all think?
Its a dark green 1998 Ranger. I tried to put pics up but i was having trouble. Hopefully soon.

my brother just did his. turned out real nice using some niteshade and some time.
im skeptical though. i assume if someone rearends you, no matter what the situation and they are clever enough to ***** that the tail lights are tinted and how that is illegal, a safetly hazard and thats the only reason they hit you. anyone know about this?

All depends on what your state law says about tail light modification. It's no different than having those ugly black tinted plastic covers on them.
Anyways, in my opinion, the truck has 3 brake lights on the rear. One mounted high, and 2 at eye level. Anybody stupid enough to not see a single one of those lights lit up is blind. Plus, if they rear end you, they are at fault 100%.
However, the point of lights is to be visible. I like tinted lights, but no not like blacked out.
