Yeah it's kinda rough haha. My dad doesn't have a truck at the moment so he needs to use mine sometimes and that's why I leave it at home. Plus he pays for my insurance and gas when I'm home on breaks so I willingly take that deal lol
#132
Damn sounds like a good deal, right from day one of owning this truck my parents haven't spent a dime on it for insurance etc, just a few christmas presents

This weekend I bought some 7" kenwood speakers, got them to fit with a 6x9 adapter, hooked them up(just to the radio, amp didn't get installed) and they sounded awesome! Went to put my door panel back on and turns out they stuck out to far and were touching the door panel :( However now i got some JL C2 5x7s on the way
Got my new tailgate handle put on today, just have to touch up the paint around it, i had to use a screw driver to open it and it marked it up
Also ordered these yesterday, going to be the only B2300 Dual Sport
Needs the shackles....going to try and install them one more time and if they are truly seized I'll sell them and just get 2" blocks

These are officially on the way!
This Saturday I'm going to the junkyard, hopefully I can find an ohc and center console so I can do the 60/40 seat mod. If i can find i might pull the blocks out of another ranger to lift my back since my shackles are pretty seized up
And one more thing, Hopefully soon I'm going to be getting rid of the dreaded open diff for something better, for the longest time I've wanted the lock rite locker but now I'm considering stuff like the detroit tru trac and the power trax no slip. I do mainly street drive but do enjoy some trail ride with mud etc, not to mention are brutal winters with deep snow
What do you guys think would work best?
And some causally photo whoring

Guess you've gotta decide what fits your needs best. The Truetrac is a limited slip and the other two are lockers. If you want a locker the truetrac is out, and unless you know how to set it up yourself the truetrac will be much more expensive to install since it's a full carrier replacement.
Between the two lockers I'd pick the no slip, but if you want limited slip then the truetrac is a very nice one.
Also slippery roads and a locked rear wheel drive can get squirly if you aren't careful.

After looking at some stuff I think I want the no slip, is a limited that much different then a locker on ice? Technically both tires will more then likely be spinning on a lsd the same as the locker, but I'm a careful driver on ice...easy throttle lol

In the snow I'm always spinning both rears with the factory lsd when I'm in 2wd. The only downside to the locker is the wear on the tires. Your rear tires will wear a lot faster with a locker

From what i understand with the no slip when you let of the gas it disengages and acts like an open diff, so technically wouldn't that be the same as a lsd? Assuming i drive nice etc

I will say that my truetrac has truly impressed me as far as being tame on the street. If you punch it around a corner, you'll hear the tires bark. Bit off road I where this thing shined. I have driven through soft sugar sand and flexed through a steep ditch and both tires hooked up impressively and go me through it. My vote is truetrac hands down, especially for on road

If you know how to set up a ring and pinion or know someone that does and can help you, then its not that bad. But it definitely is more work since you'll need to re-shim the diff etc. With the truetrac you'll end up with a stronger carrier

This weekend i went to the junkyard, no luck on the center console, all wrong colour, however i did get an ohc and got some nice jl speakers
Installing them and my amp on Thursday with my ohc hopefully, if that goes smooth maybe my shackles
Also get to tow a trailer for the first time this weekend, just a 6.5x8 with a sport quad on it but still, wish me luck haha :D

Update-
Got my ohc mounted up, not wired yet, hopefully on monday
Got an F-150 dome light mounted, only have the center light working(super bright led), hopefully have the side switches working on monday also
Installed the Jl speakers, not the amp...again hopefully monday haha
Also went camping and got to tow a trailer, have to say she did pretty damn good!
Think next summer I'm going to need my own Sport quad, maybe a Raptor 700
