Burnt2deaths 02 Ranger Beastly Build

I bought it Friday 11-18-2011....

I bought a one owner 2002 Ford Ranger Edge "Plus". It has the 3.0L v6 engine. It is the regular cab 2dr model. Has Hi/Low 4 Wheel Drive. The truck itself has 148k miles but runs smooth and strong still. I have been beating the **** out of it lmao

I bought the truck bone stock besides the soft bed cover and the tail light covers.

Goals:
3" body lift
3" Suspension lift
35" tires
Brush Guard
Winch
Upgraded beadlock wheels
Lockers
Adding custom sub box
Paint Job (cant stand blue)
Rear roll bar w/lights
Front windshield visor
Tint windows
Upgrade to dual exhaust
Tune the truck

11-18-2011 - I purchased my first actual pick up truck lol.

11-22-2011 - I installed the steering wheel cover and vent visors. Got new fog lights and wiper blades. Also K&n drop in filter and an oil change.

11-24-2011 - I installed all new 6"x8" speakers. Front and rear. Thanks to a good black Friday deal. Sounds much better just need a custom sub enclosure to squeeze in more bass.

12-01-2011 - I ordered new tires!

12-04-2011 - I installed the first set of driving lights on the truck. I ran them independently so they operated solo by themselves.

12-08-2011 - Kuhmo Road Venture MT 265-75-16 tires were installed and I removed the mud flaps. Also raised the torsion bars about an inch total.

12-09-2011 - New brakes and rotors. Also new brake lines were installed.

12-11-2011 - Ordered forum decals for TRS and RF. Also bought premium memberships on both forums.

I will be updating this with photos and updates as to when I am doing things to the truck.

First night with the truck at my car clubs weekly gathering.

The very next day I went out and had some fun...

The new tires! I love them already. You can feel them grip **** up.

This is the old tire next to the new Kuhmo ones...

Having some fun at the Reading Anthracite coal mine area in St. Clair, Pa.

Tires can be a big improvement alone. Which 3" SL are you getting?

I would keep the blue. You can't hate blue that much if you liked it enough to buy the truck. I would recommend a different grill though.

I bought the truckl because it was pretty much at the used auto lot on my corner and I hit a deer doing 85mph in my other car. Which sucked because I just lowered it and got it tuned. I really dont like the color. 4x4 for the winter is why I bought it. Now I am addicted.

A few shots from the trails today.

A preview of my new "get dirty" area lol. It started as a few small wet areas in an overgrown field. It used to be a junkyard here about 10 years ago. They have since cleaned it out and its where I have been making my own trails and mud pits. Starting to get there but I have been making it all from scratch.

Forgot to mention I also just bought an upgraded membership to both RF and TRS as well as decals. And I installed all new brake pads, rotors and brake lines yesterday.

I as a little concerned about the high mileage but after driving it hard for the last three weeks and it handling everything fine I am not too concerned anymore. Plus if anything does break I have about a dozen u-pull junkyards with too many Rangers in them lol.

I am happy with my purchase.

my father want's me to stray away from purchasing the edge here in town. but I'm really wanting 4x4. and it's right in my price range. but the vin pops up with 25 records. I'm really hoping when I go down to check it out, that their maintenance records mostly. otherwise its still a sharp looking truck. what is the gears set for the rear end and is it l/s? I'm just curious since the one I'm looking at is similar just a 01.

Thanks man. I am not new to forums in general just to this one. I like this forum so far and has been helpful in getting info for my truck.

A few pics from earlier today. Sorry they were taken from my phone. I am out and about getting dirty every day. So far 3k miles in 5 weeks of owning the truck.
