Did a few things earlier.
-Camber/caster kits on both sides
-Cranked my torsion bars (not max)
-Put my jumpseats back in after removing them for the lift
-Removed foam double sided tape residue from the front mudflap area (i took them off)
-Touched up some scratches
-Front license plate mount delete
-Mocked up how tow hooks will look once welded onto the hitch

Jacked up to do the camber kits

Kits I used (off of summit)

Old stuff out on one side

New

just seeing what the hooks will look like

goodbye plate mount

How are you going to keep those holes from rusting? Are you filling them with something? I had holes in my bumper and they rusted so fast.

Yeah there are caps they sell that fit in there and sit flush. I just need to ask my friend where he got his but these wont rust anyway. when they build these chrome bumpers they drill the holes prior to dipping so they're also coated in chrome on the inside. my 01-03 one didn't rust

Caster/Camber Kit… how did you know you needed them.

Is this kit needed because of the CRANKED T-Bars or is this kit needed for all lifted Rangers ?

Are the hook going to stick out that far ?

What is the rim 15 or 16 “ ?

p.s. this is getting to be a long thread…

It helps with the alignment of a lifted truck. Not needed but useful.

I just re-chkd your thread and found your rims are 15”.

Did you get an interference with the Disc Brakes ?

I almost ordered the new rims today and stopped thinking there might be a problem, then remembered Dave had 15s, just wondered what you ran… etc, etc.

15's will fit.
I'm ordering basically the same wheel as Pedro, but in black, so i test fitted some at the belle tire a week ago.
You can get the cheap plastic plugs at Autozone or whatever, thats what i used

no problems with the 15's and the kits make it easier to get the alignment perfect. I'd rather spend the money on them than not because I get the alignments for free anyway. Hooks wont stick out that far i just wanted to see what they look like

I have this stuff so now i need to get sanding

lol. this is way easier than the 01-03 one i did on the last truck because that piece is all 1. luckily 04+ is just the part around the grille and the other part is built into the header panel

That 4th gen. looks so small and sad.

I had no idea that you can have automotive paint mixed and put in a spray can.

haha yeah. I got the basecoat in the can instead of a single stage. single stage looks like crap compared to base then clear. i did the same process when i went 01-03 on the last one
