What do you consider cheap? And why not? Are you wanting true Hella bulbs and ballasts from Germany? China brands are fine for this application. They are going to glare anyways and no matter how much you pay they will still be illegal. But if you go HID, get 4300K, they are the brightest and look the most stock.

I wanna go 6000k on the Headlights and 4300k on fogs.

The problem with rebased bulbs is just that. These bulbs for all headlights that people run are rebased, basically the HIDs were built originally with D1R, D1S, D2R, D2S bases on them. When rebased there is a possibility the Focal point (where the light comes from) of the bulb is not perfectly placed like the original 9007 bulbs and therefor could make the light output shift a little, also increasing the amount of glare. I would not say this should be a reason to not get HIDs, but it could be a difference in quality of one brand over another. Why 2 different colors?

and maybe its not the 4300k but there is an HID that is a yellower bulb thats what i want for fogs..
and everyone says 75 bucks is a good amount to pay for a set what do you think?

3000K is bright yellow if you want yellow. But IMO they look like crap. I saw a Mini Cooper with them as main headlights and gay is not a strong enough word for how ridiculously stupid they looked.
The HID sets have really come down in price. I paid 130 for mine, overnighted, with some custom harness pieces. I bought mine over a year ago too. I would recommend against the bi- set as the device that makes the high beam work either makes the overall bulb assembly weaker and susceptible to vibrations, or it is just a 65W halogen stuck next to the HID bulb and does nothing.
I still believe it is not very wise to put HID bulbs into the reflector housing of a Ranger. Glare pisses people off and is wasted light output. I just had to make sure my piece was said on that topic too, lol.

I am currently running silverstar ultras they were a pricy bulb but are very bright.
And if i am to go HID stay with the single output then and not the duals??
And the 3000k wouldnt look good as a foglight?

I never thought of snow because we do not get much of this mythical substance in South Florida. But I do know at night with rain, on freshly black-toped roads it can be harder to see with the immense reflection, but IMO i will never purchase another vehicle unless it has projectors or readily available aftermarket headlights with projectors for HIDs. Halogen blows.

[QUOTE=Fx4wannabe01;1082107]NICE! oh and to answer your question like a week ago...i vote 3000k fogs for the winter weather time and swap when good weather hits.
I swap the headlamp bulbs...6000k and 4300k, and retain the 3000k fogs.[/QUOTE
yeah i am gonna order my fogs in a couple weeks and do them 3000k and then just get a set of 4300K headlights and do the swap when i need to. but yeah big lighting difference.. signs become really reflective and i can actually read them hah.
