How To: Post on Ranger-Forums.com - Tips and Tricks

Thanks Bravetitan24, my first post (ever) only showed some code where the quote would be after doing that, so I thought I did something wrong...went back later and it showed up, so all is good.

I'll be able to promote RF more once my truck comes back to life. I don't have RF stickers on the Fusion.

That's why I'm so bored with that place. If you want badass builds you have to hang around the pre-runner section because that's about the only place where stuff isn't just bolted on. At least here there's years and years of awesome build threads to look through.

strange forum experience
I am using a Windows 7 desktop computer, with the newest version of google chrome, and a 200 megabit per second internet connection.
i recently became a member here and had already created a few new posts to different threads.
i had pictures to attach to my messages and found the appropriate 'button' to use for that.
i have had two problems.
one, once my post is ready and ive reviewed it, i submit it and get a message about it needing approval. the statement doesnt suggest a time frame, but one that i posted is almost a week ago, and ive received no communication about the post. no replies, no messages from a web master. its like the post disappeared into some internet vortex. i just tried to re write the same post, making reference to albums i created, instead of using attachments. still that needed approval, and im afraid i may hafta wait the rest of the year for any word on that post.
then, when i do submit other posts (replies?) to forum threads, some dont even appear. i know what buttons to press once im done writing, so i dont think im missing anything. it cant be my internet connection, and my browser is pretty current.
what is happening here? im worried i may have to register at another ranger forum. :(

there are three areas i have posted in, but two of them seem to be having the 'problems'. first, is the Ranger-Forums Technical Engine Forum and its 4.0L OHV & SOHC V6 Tech section.
the other is Ranger-Forums Technical Forum and its Audio & Video Tech section.
both of those shown a dialog about them needing moderator approval. the initial message appeared for maybe 2 seconds or less and automatically disappeared. hardly enough time for me to read and remember the whole message.
while i have been able to post in the 4 liter section and receive replies. i tried re writing a post in the audio section, and it still needed approval from a moderator.
i have even used the contact us section here, and sent messages. its been days, and no reply from that. ive checked all folders at my email provider and no replies in those regards.
is it possible to see who the moderators are for the different sections i mentioned, so i can send them a private message or something to inquire of the status??
i need help on some projects im working on and it seems a difficult process, with what in my opinion should be quite simple. and if thre is (approval?) time involved, i would expect that to be maybe a day or two. but, its been nearly a week. and in spite of independence day.
im not complaining, just concerned here

Honestly, there isn't really a need to have approval to post. I will say that the contact us stuff doesn't come to me. So I haven't seen anything about a request. Does it only happen when you attempt to attach a picture?

I approved the posts for you. The automatic spam filter flagged them for some reason or another. Unfortunately the contact us link contacts Internet Brands directly and they really don't have anything to do with forum moderation. In the future you're welcome to pm me directly.
Also, when you are in each sub-forum you can scroll to the bottom to see a list of moderators for that section.

well, it has happened when i either try attaching pictures, or reference my album where i also have the same pictures.
though, i just checked the audio video thread for my post that i created and i do finally see it. maybe its appearance has something to do with my using the contact us feature.
my other posts have, for the most part, been replied to.
thank you
