There have been a few times where I've got booted from the site (my computer's fault not the sites) after I sign on and lost the post that I didn't get a chance to read. Then of course they are all gone when I sign back on. Is there a way we can have the option to view last posts...like 2 hours....6 hours....yesterday....2 days....last week. You know what I mean? Thanks Christian...hope this makes sense. lol

php doesn't have the ability to incorporate all of those features yet...

in time, they will come... :)

 

There is a mod that allows you to keep the posts until they are actually read by the user. It is a mod that takes a little while to implement, but may be worth it. I tried it on one of my sites, but then decided it wasn't for me. I would have to look for it to find it if you wanted it, because I don't know if I have it anymore or not.

 

I was just today thinking about asking that question, because I've been experiencing the same problem. I hope this one can be implemented in the not-so-distant future!

 

i am trying to keep this board one that i don't have to ask for donations or anything...

maybe when i have a few hundred dollars that i don't know what to do with, i will invest in a new forum alltogether...

alot of these features just aren't possible with php...

 

Ok, well if its not possible just say so so we can stop hoping for it, from your first post it sounded like maybe it was a feature or upgrade you hadn't had the time to implement yet.

Well thats cool. Obviously alot of other boards (even that junk forum they use on that other site) have the feature, so hopefully it will be available for php sooner than later!
