Icon13 2001 fordranger

What a *****. A while back he was looking for some mudflaps. I had a set off my truck, and said that if he would pay for the shipping that he could HAVE them. At first communication was good, especially for me to get his address to have them sent. The agreement was that he would send me a check for the shipping, $18, when he got them. I sent him my address three times, he said he was busy so I understood and told him to send my money ASAP. Still nothing. Now after not hearing anything from him, this is my YOU ARE A SUCKER 2001 fordranger thread! It's only $18, but I don't go to work to give my money to other people. So now there is a bad taste in my mouth about trusting anyone on threads. Well, I learned my lesson.

The guy hasn't logged in here since the last issue someone had with him, which was a month ago. So I doubt you'll ever see anything from him on this forum. Hope it works out for you though.

Its too bad he has cheated people out of things. At first he seemed like a good guy then things changed quickly.

Thanks morris. I'll find this little coward and see if I can get him to dig into his purse and get me my money.

I doubt that would have made a difference. He had a lot of posts and was a up-standing member until the first incident happened.

There is another member here that has been cheated. He never made a thread about it but he replied in one of the threads about his issue. He even PM'd me looking for advice on what to do, sounded like he lost a lot of money.

Sucks to see this happening

Here's my advice:

1) Only deal with members who are reputable, those that have a long history, many posts, and good feedback.

2) Never pay with cash, check, money order, cashier's check, etc. If you encounter an issue you have no recourse and are at the seller's mercy. Pay via a method that is protected, i.e. PayPal and credit card. With a credit card you can dispute transactions with your credit card company, not just PayPal.

3) Never send merchandise before it is paid for.

Always keep in mind there is a chance you won't get what you paid for or were promised no matter how many precautions you take. It's just the risk you take when you do business online.

There is a thread stickied in the classifieds section that specifically explains the stance of R-F and the staff on buying, selling, and trading. Basically it states a member buys, sells, and trades merchandise at their own risk. Not that we (the staff) don't want to help, but in all honesty there is nothing we can do. We can't force someone to give your money back or pay you when merchandise is sent before it is paid for. We also do not have access to any more information than you do by looking at a member's profile.

Martine Bruchetti as far as I kno. I dunno his exact addy but if you go to "the other site" and search posts started by "otto" you should find it in there. I'd post a link but I don't think it works.

He wanted both threads I made about him deleted (I can see why). Mods here did, mods there didn't given his track record.

Your first thread was only closed and not deleted and can still be read. And although members here are being screwed over as KLC stated there isn't much to do.

Also I think banning him would only make things worse. If he were to be banned then he is gone and has no chance of making things better with certain people.

I'm not backing him up in any way/shape or form but he did make it better with you morris correct? SO maybe he will get this resolved. But I don't think banning him would help.

And again I am not siding with him and I would defiantly not buy from him from the track record. To the OP good luck on getting this resolved, search for the other threads about him. I believe there is more info in the other one. And as most members are here he might be on the multiple other forums as well where you might get help.

Good luck to the OP and others affected!

He did make it right but only after a ton of pressure. Said something about the bank screwing up.

I know that I won't be getting my money, and it has nothing to do with this site. He's just a dick. I'm just putting it out there so others know not to even bother with him.
