Review: TheWheelConnection

I haven't been on the boards in a long time, but I feel its necessary to inform everyone when I have great service and poor service from vendors that all of us use constantly. I finished my 4/5 drop about 4 months ago and it only took me about 2 months before I bent a rim and blew a tire from a damn pothole.

So, after searching some websites for the infamous BOSS 304, I found TheWheelConnection had the best price at $312 shipped to my door. This was about $50 cheaper than any other website I had found. I ordered the rim on Dec 29, 2009 and I still haven't received it. I've called them several times, sometimes the phone number is diconnected or I get a "the mailbox is full" message. When I have talked to someone, they reassure that I will have my wheel within a few days because it is shipping out "today" So, I just got off the phone with them I had the same response and supposedly I will get a tracking number sent to me via email (3rd time this has been promised) and I will have it by next week.

Please beware, they had my money withdrawn from my account by Dec 30 and almost a month later I don't have my wheel.

That sucks, I hate shady companies.

Seems like you aren't the first though:

This is why you should always do a quick google search of the companies name if you haven't heard of them before. Too many sites out there are just fronts for con artists.

Yeah, I should've checked into their reputation before I ordered from them.

UPDATE: I received my wheel on Fri Jan 29, exactly one month after I ordered it. I finally got a tracking number after threatening to demand to a refund. It seems to me that they had the wheel ready to ship, but were extremely lazy to send it out. They just wanted my money and felt no further obligation to me until I threatened to take my money back.

I read some reviews that stated some customers received the wrong wheels or damaged wheels. So, I checked my order and it is exactly what I ordered.

Sometimes the "best" price is not accompanied by the "best" service.
