Went to a Monster Truck show in May 30/31 2009, lots of pics
so i've had these pics on my computer for since may 2009 of a monster truck show dad and i went to. did a little lawnmower racing in the show.. it took place in a brand new hockey arena (seats like 7000 people).. and wow it was like running on ice!!!! the first day was scary, dad and i are setup for dirt NOT smooth pavement.. lots of tire squealing as you peel off the line.. it was soooooo easy to do donuts.. haha i could burn a tank of fuel just doing donuts.. hahaha so there's 30-35 pics so i will post the good ones and link my photobucket so ya'll can check the rest out. also have some video on youtube that i will link here as well.. nuff talking lets get to the pics.
i should add that there was 4 monster trucks, cars for the MT's, 3 crotch rockets doing stunts, 3 freestyle motocross guys doing freestyle, jumps for these guys and 8 racing lawnmowers.. so it was pretty squishy!
The Bounty Hunter
Outlaw
Jurassic Attack, i believe he blew his engine at this event.
Maniac
These guys are only running hust over 500hp in these things.. which is surprising.. but they also have like 1500ft lbs torque too..
Now the action shots
Motocross guys
half of the lawnmower crew that was there. these guys are from the "Fraser Valley Lawnmower Racing Club. the orange mower is a 17hp twin kawasaki, the green one on the far right is a john deere 16hp twin.
this thing is sweet... just a lawnmower engine or something in it.. i met the guy on facebook (he has a monster truck too) and i met him in person here at this event.. he was flaggin.
crotch rockets.
freestyle motocross landing ramp. it was a tight fit for them.
thats some of the pics i have.. check out this link for more pics Pictures by savage25_2009 - Photobucket
it was a fun time. day 2 went way better, we pumped up the rear tires and ran the front tires just about flat and we could get a controlable powerslide.. it was challenging for everyone except the MT's as it was so slippery, they put down some coke-cola mix on the corners. was much better when the MT's laid some rubber down for us!! enjoy
YouTube - Monster Truck Show part 1 <<<<<sorry for the long post.. here's a video of some of the action. there's part 1 and part 2. also another picture of the whole lawnmower crew.dad and i are on the far left.

Had all those guys here (actually in Regina) this summer (except the tractors). Bounty Hunter was doing a dough-nut, lost his center and hit a barrier, which hit an audio/microphone controller and knocked an official like 20ft from where he was standing, it was awesome.
My camera died before I went as we just left the airshow earlier that day.

yup it was a tight fit.. and really slippery. one of the monster trucks was doing donuts and spewing fuel ALL over the place!!!!!
the first day we were racing one of the racers plows into the garbage can with kitty litter (used to clean up oil spills and stuff) and the **** went flying!! so that made it worse... i had a helluva time trying to NOT hit the boards. day 2 was way better.. most of the pavement was still slippery but you could control it... there was a few really sticky spots though, found those while powersliding around the corner , thought i was gonna roll it a couple times!!
