Got a couple more hours in on disassembly of both cabs, amazing how similar the firewalls and cowls are.

Bare firewall of 02...

Removed motor, tranny, and rear end from chassis to clean everything up, make frame alterations, and paint before reassembling...

Bare firewall of 88...

Found a small soft spot in driver floor near body mount, so looks like we'll be patching that up when we do firewall.

Cool project! I'll be along for the ride on this one. I love the looks of the Gen 1 and with the newer drivetrain and suspension of the newer donor should be killer.
