Yea it doesnt look like it squats too much, i'm still gonna get some bags though.

Agreed, although I like my Ranger for what I paid for it.

Nice truck! Are there any oil companies around that area? If so, you probably could have bought a nice used fleet vehicle. For example, an oil company here has a 2004 Ford F-150 5.4L Extended Cab 4x4 with 88,XXX miles for $2700. The only thing wrong with it is the bumper is dented and it's super filthy inside and out. Nothing a little TLC could not take care of.

Most of the used executive or office vehicles are nice and some have never been off of the pavement. Just depends on who drove it for the company.

Nice truck though!

What are yall running for tuners/scan gauges to give you a read out of trans temp?

My list started out at,
-Tires - BFG ATs
-Brake controller
-Air Bags
-tool box/tonneau/cap

Now its up to,
-Tires - BFG ATs
-Brake controller
-Airbags
-tool box/tonneau/cap
-Trans cooler
-scan gauge of some sort
-HIDs (maybe)
-New head unit
-10" sub/amp

...and i've owned it what.. 29 hours?

Haha I had almost 2 grand worth of parts ordered the afternoon I got my truck. I ran a Edge Evolution for about a month and was pretty happy with it. it will monitor 4 gauges while giving you a little boost of HP. I don't know if anyone does it for the 5.3s but they can be custom tuned as well. It does cost a good bit more than a scangauge though. You can use it to correct the speedo for bigger tires too

I have the 4.8, and I do almost entirely highway driving. My commute is 20 miles one way, and I am betting I do about 15 of that on the highway going 60.

Nice list, lol. Personally, I don't think these trucks need HID's. Have you driven it at night yet? The lights are INSANELY bright.

I've got 2 10" R-F Punch P1s in single boxes...I know the boxes wont be usable in your truck, but the subs are still in great shape...hint hint lol.

meh, no need for the tire correction. Its got 285s on it now, stock is 265. I'm gonna go back to a stock tire size when these wear out, which will be soon. They look like **** but its been raining all day and i was hitting puddles on the highway at 60 and didn't have an issue.

Why dont u have the evolution anymore?

I work 2.3 miles from work

but so far on this tank I've put almost 80 miles on it and its still barely above 3/4.. so im happy so far i guess, as long as its a true gauge unlike Fords.

yea, just got home hah

they're bright, i just like the look of HIDs when your looking at the truck. idk, its one of the things i like but probably won't get. Someone at work has a head unit he'll sell me, and is really good at wiring stereo systems.. so he's gonna wire it for me and when i offered to "buy him a case of beer or something" he said "im sure i'll need something welded" hah

not bad looking. if i get a bigger truck a cheby might be in the mix because i love the interiors. im just not diggin the brown.

had a buddy from high school who had a brown extended cab like yours but he had a 12" cognito lift on it that was powdercoated blue. it wasnt a bad combo. then he rolled it in the dunes and totaled it. bought the truck back from insurance then got another 05 but white and 4 doors then transfered the lift and everything over. his 12" lift he was runnin i think 38s or 40s on 22s haha

i dont mind the color all that much. My step mom had a burban the same color.

one plus side is it hides dirt pretty good... hell thats the reason my uncle got both his vehicles that color haha

Nice truck Matt! I had a 2003 Z71 LT Package... I freaking loved it. The 99-07 Silverados are great trucks. I had a red extended cab on 33's. Does your have the steering rattle in it? mine never would go away. Go with a Flowmaster 40 series dumped. They sound super sexy with the 5.3

till you look at it from the front and realize it has like 2-3" more ground clearance under the cross member over stock

i for one hate show trucks, and being IFS it doesn't help any.

I'm fighting the urge to modify the exhaust. I know when i do my right foot will get heavier. Plus it attracts unwanted attention. My buddy had an 03 5.3 with flow 40s dumped.. it did sound pretty damn good.

Oh and Thanks! haha
