01+ untill a facelift? lol...I guess you can kinda say that-ish for 98-00?

Yea, if you go by mechanical 98+. but if you cosmetically 98-00, then 01-03, 04+ even though they have the same headlights. Grills are different, bumpers too. So what is classed a generation at this point when it's minor cosmetics?

93-94 got new power train, drivetrain, and new body, 95-97 got all new interior, OBD2, and different wiring. 98 got a new frame, suspension, flex fuel, and a facelift. 01 got a face lift, different seat options, and different wiring to the tail lights, Edge, and FX4. 04 got a facelift and different instrument cluster and dash wiring, maybe more, 06 got new grille and new tail lights, maybe more, 10 got disc brake rear and anti sway control. That's all I know. Anything before 3rd gen I couldn't tell ya

04 or 06 they changed the wiring and went smart junctions.

What years did they change over to Torsion Bars? 98?
and they dropped PVH style 4x4 in 00, right?

yes changed to torsion bars in 98 and switched from pvh to live axle in 2000.5

yea 98-00 is like a transformer. lol torsion with the ohv. haha

At the end of the day aren't all rangers awesome? lol
With some minor exceptions.
