complete with the oil-catching pan -_-
Debating on installing my hella 500's behind the grill now... Trying to decide between placing them farther to the sides or more in. I like the closer to the emblem look better, but im not sure with my KC's in their current position.

Yesterday was the first overcast day in a long time haha, today its back to the usual blue skies and beautiful weather. California is garbage for everything but girls, the desert, and the weather
anywho, what do you guys think of my photoshop.
90% sure thats the way im going with. Now to decide if 35w will give me enough improvement in light performance (plus i can pick them up locally @ddm) or if I should just go 55w and have them shipped....unless that will melt my grill. 4300k vs 3000k as well

It's hard to aim and the honeycomb really screws with your light pattern.

Hey Guys, haven't been on here in close to a year. Finally thought i should throw up some pics of the ranger. Since my last post, I got new Terra-Trac Hercules tires, 315/75/R16's, re- geared and brought the front end up a little more. I still need to throw a body lift on it tho! Rubs at full crank haha. Here are some pics a took out looking for some trails around my area last week. Hope you like em!

When I say light pattern I mean the deep honeycombs makes weird shadows all over the place.
I thought about getting HIDs and leaving them, but they heat would melt the grill since the glass lens was right against the back of the grill in my case.
I think my biggest problem was mounting them on the bottom side of the grill, then having them too close to the back of the grill.
Also, I had Hella 500's, so your lights might turn out different

That's what I thought. I mounted mine on the bottom side, which isn't very solid, so they bounced around.

I've got mine installed behind the grill, no shadows or weird patterns. Now with the aiming, I had to install mine upside down, where they currently sit all the way down (or up) works perfectly when wheeling and heading down darker roads. Doesn't really blind oncoming traffic, but does blind the **** out of someone in a sedan driving in front of me. I've got pictures I can post of how I did mine (incase one of the posts already on here don't help you much).
But either way, I love my Hellas behind the grill!!!!!
