County trail blocking :-(
Well.. some folks caused a hell of a ruckus up where I usually do my trail riding in the power line hills out here this last fourth of July... in retrospect to what happened (I have only heard rumors of it.. but supposedly cops had to chase some people down that were tagging the power lines with paint and banging them up with crowbars and such) they did the following to stop anyone from going up for a while:

Beyond fantastic... I honestly dont see how there is only 1 other guy on the forums running any kind of DC's!! I have never had any stuck issues, and usually jsut keep it in 2wd to get everywhere, including up that hill that you saw is blocked off... I can guarentee, if I had some BFG mud's they probably wouldnt have lasted without kicking into 4wd.. mostly due to the siping they have on the mud country DC's. They grip like a ***** f'er! :-p

You should see some of the trash heaps we have on some of our other trails out here.. its disgusting! We actually have a full RV that was parked and since forgotten, completely thrashed.. sitting next to the side of a good trail. *sigh* I agree with packing your own crap out, I might have to get a garbage cleanout week done.. take a bunch of rigs out on the trails with bags and such.. start picking the crap up.

The same stuff happens here as well. When I don't feel like traveling more than 30 miles to go to a trail we have like 4 within a 15 min drive of my house. Only bad thing is they're all slowly getting blocked because of moron's dumping their trash all over the place. I figured maybe I should go clean it up a little but then again the same people will be going back and doing the same thing. It just really makes me mad that because of certain people, the trails are just getting blocked.

Our county did the same thing in a few of our wheelin spots!! People trashed it and the county shut it down. People actually started dumping their trash on the trails and in the mud holes. Its stupid. It all started a few years back when the county started making people pay to dump their trash and pay a dollar for a county blue bag just to dump trash. Many of our neighboring counties do this too. I still hate to see great wheelin spots trashed and ultimately closed off because of some morons.

ya that does suck! but the ranger coulda made it over those "pebbles" lol.. the trails we ride down here (lakeland area) there's a bunch of trash to... plus a burnt down dodge, and there was a fullsize bronco sitting just on the rims a while back ago to..thought about snatching up the bronco while i could, but nothing to haul it with and no where to store it. plus moron's like to take 2x4's and drive nails in to them, and with the nails pointed up.. stick them in a mud puddle or something so when u drove through.. POP there goegoes ur tires.

any place that people used to wheel around here are now monitored by cameras. sucks. too many dang tree huggers around here though

could you wrap a couple tow straps around the boulders and move them, or is it beyond the ranger's limits?
There is absolutely no place to wheel around here, There are so many awesome beach trails to wheel in Cape Cod but the greenies have long since shut them down, and the legal trails you have to pay $50 to use to get beach access are washed away or closed down due to Piping Plovers (birds).

Its a sad thing. My parents always tell me about spots they used to hit when they were my age and since then those trails are now history. You can even go near. Some spots they've used a bull dozer and dug a hug section out of the road that is nearly impossible to cross. I tried once with a bunch of friends just to see if we could make it and no avail.

They are pretty bgi sized rocks actually, If you look at the size of them, vs my 33x12.5 tires, they really are big.. come up to my waist, and I'm 6'2".. plus they are as big around as they are tall.. they easily weigh an awful lot.. but as said before, I know how to get around it without disturbing what the county put up. I woudl rather keep those there and trust that not many others know how to get around them and keep the retards out =)

Thank the lord I've never had to deal with that.. would be mighty expensive to replace a bunch of tires from some idiot not giving a care in the world. Makes you wonder what type of people would do that on a trail, purposely messing with the trail to screw other people up.
