Thanks for all the comments guys.
Dude I actually sat on this forum for like 2 days straight looking over all the pics of your truck I could find. It was your truck that helped me decide to go black on the frontend. I think you should go for the black billet....I'm really happy with the way it turned out on mine.

Ha ha! Clocked the shock tabs and got MTZ's -- a man after my own heart.
I did that shock mount thing a few years ago out of cheapness and hating how they hung down. It satisfied both needs. I have a lot of travel with my lift and stock-length shocks. I had just bought Ranch RSX's that I liked and I really didn't want to have to buy new ones.
Your truck is looking great!

Here you go. Since I haven't run my sway bar in like 2 years I used the hole in the LCA to mount the bottom of the straps. If you are running a sway bar you could easily drill a 1/2" hole in the LCA and use that instead.
For the upper mount I made a triangle shaped bracket and welded it to the frame and the shock tower gusset. The brackets were super easy to make. They're 3/16" steel and they only took like 20 mins to make.
I used the adjustable clevis on the bottom of the strap to set where the straps stop the suspension droop. It stops the suspension roughly 1" from full droop.
