new guy with 2.3 problems

I have a 1993 2.3l ranger, my little brother wrecked it. I have reset the switch under the dash to turn on the fuel pump. My problem is I cannot get spark from the engine. I am looking for any input on where to go. I have replaced the ignition control module and it has power going to it. I have tested a different ECM with no change. I am lost on what else controls the spark on the truck. Can anyone offer some help? My ranger does not have the cam position sensor so please dont suggest that like autozone keeps doing to my little brother.

So I did a little more testing on the truck tonight. I pinned out the voltage and ground on the ICM, the number 1 pin on top connector is giving me good voltage as its supposed to. when I pin the ground on the lower connector I get 3.34v instead of the battery voltage like i should(ground hooked to ICM and positive hooked to battery). it appears to be a ground issue. I performed the test to check the crank sensor also. when the on/off voltage is supposed to happen my voltage never goes to zero, it will read battery voltage when its supposed to, and when it should read zero it will show about 7v. anyone got any ideas?

I'm assuming your referencing pin 7 of the lower connector. If so, your seeing a point of resistance in the ground circuit. Pin number 7 is connected (internally) to the bottom Ignition Control Module Mounting holes and these metal mounting holes are the source of Ground to the engine block (see photo 3 of 3 in the image viewer of test two). Ensure all surfaces are clean and all mounting screws are present and tight. Additionally, check the engine block and chassis to battery ground connections are good.
