Blocks!

Blocks!
Ok. I have a delimma. When lifting my tuck the spindles and the shackles did not provide the same amount of lift and now its lower in the back. I've decided to block the rear 2" to level it out some.... I can find aluminum blocks easier than anything but was wondering about the actual quality of the blocks. Any advice?

Will these new blocks be added to the OEM Blocks or just 2” blocks ?
If just 2”s then what about OEM part, made from Cast Steel, usually little rusting and will not wear under most conditions and most JYs throw them out but they should be easily found in a JY.
If added to OEM, don’t do it !
Find another way, 2 - 2” blocks will add a lot of stress to the U-Blots and Springs, maybe even cracking springs and will be a b!tch to keep tight.
Also, I found that aluminum does not stand up very well.
The edges started to wear and crack and maybe it was just my U-Bolts (which I tightened all the time) but everything seemed loose every time I chkd it out; was not happy with the aluminum blocks… and I only used one of them.
Luck

To me, too much, that is why I went to no blocks.
The problem that arises is when they are left in place...
Find a spring that works with just one block, better in the long run.
Traction Bars, especially the top mounted kind put stress on the U-Bolt and Nut.
Traction Bars do help but in some instances adds stress to the wrong place.
I am not trying to say don't do the extra block just do as little as possible.
Luck,
