I know that it on here somewhere but i have been looking for over an hour and can't find it anywhere but I was looking for the cheapest place to buy a new set of Deavers at and can't find anything so if someone knows of a place could you let me know. Also when I get them would I have to take the stock blocks out the get back to the stock height back until I have enough time to get off work and get a superlift put on? Thanks in advance for all the help.

 

Yeah you should be able to ditch the blocks and keep stock height, unless your rear springs are saggy like mine lol. I ordered my deaver F31 pack from www.dixonbrosracing.com they came out to $625 shipped with the bushing kit included. Shipping was super fast too. I had them in 3 days.


I haven't put them in yet though, they'll be going on at the same time the RCD goes in.

 

Next question when I put them on how hard is it and when I put the superlift on should I put the block back in or get different shackles and if new shackles what kind?

 

how well do deavers carry a load?
i was lookin at them, but my truck hauls stuff (dirtbikes, materials for work, furniture_ quite often, and if it doesnt take a load as well, it's not for me

 

If you hauls things then deavers aren't gonna be good for you. They aren't designed to carry a load.

 

not be bash anything, but why does everyone praise the Deaver's? They are expensive and the exact same thing as the Skyjacker springs which are $200 cheaper than the Deavers.......

the Deaver's only give 2.5" of lift....that is with the stock block...you will have to keep the block to level a truck with a Superlift installed in the front....to remove the block, you need atleast a 4" lift spring (2" lift if you take out the block)


If you want a cheaper option, get the Skyjacer FR36S......run these rear springs with the Superlift and t-bars cranked up 2" and you will be setting with 6" of front lift and 4" of rear lift...not to mention that you will save yourself $200 for a compareable spring..

Deavers and National Spring are top of the line leafs. All lift springs are not the same.

 

you get what you pay for!! you ever buy the cheap cereal at store? NOT THE SAME! and in the end u wish u got the better product.

 

have you ever seen/used Skyjacker products? they are quality products.....you can't say Skyjacker is the cheap stuff...

 

its all relative, skyjacker to some stuff is nice and to other stuff it is bottom of the barrel.

 

well unless you are off road racing or hard core off roading, i dont see where the Deaver's are worth the money....you still have to use blocks if you lift your truck over 4"...

 

its not all about "lift" Deavers are used for travel, Skyjackers are used for lift.

I had some Procomp springs for lift but now I am running some Alcan springs, about the same lift but the Alcans are far better quality and better for my application.

 

I always wondered about deavers, what is their purpose exactly besides lifting? Long travel or what? Im a lowered guy but I see people mention deavers and I see the price tag along with them and wondered what the deal is with them?

You want a flat as possible spring for better flex and travel...

This is all information I have read about, not sure if its true or what the real facts on it but if you think about it it has to be somewhat true.

 

thanks Zach.....i understand...with the Deavers being more flat they are in the middle of their travel range....

 

If you have seen a deaver style spring they have no overloads, hence the reason you dont haul or pull a trailer with them.

They have several springs tho, heck my Alcans have like 6-7 leafs on it, that is how they get lift and travel.

I'm not done with it so just take the picture for what I am talking about

 

The Deaver f31 pack has 7 leaves in it. Its a long travel spring and like Zack said its main purpose is not lift. Ride quality and travel are its main goals. Heck its not meant to lift the truck at all. Deaver recommends you flip the shackles in conjunction with their springs, therefore eliminating the 2.5 lift altogether but maximizing travel.


As of now I couldn't tell you if they're worth the $625 I dropped on them, but as soon as I get 'em installed we will see.
