This is an awesome forum!! I found it by looking for lift options for my 99' Ranger 3.0l XLT 2WD. As i looked over the pages, I cant find anything that will fit my truck. I dont want an extravagant lift with 35's. I have 30's and want a 4-5 inch lift. Not body lift. Sorry if I reposted.

There are plenty of lift kits for our Rangers it just depends on how deep your pockets are. Do a lil searchin and you'll find what you're lookin for. If you don't wanna buy a full kit, which can get a lil pricey, then you could just throw some lift spindles on the front for a 3" lift and some shackles of AALs in the back to even it up.

Sorry for the newb questions.
1. Lift spindles are exactly what they sound like. They drop your wheel down lower to give 3" of lift. While it does lift your truck, it doesn't give you anymore ground clearance. Depending on where you find'em you can get'em from $200-500 depending.
2. Lift shackles are actually Belltech Chevy Drop Shackles(part #6400 on Summitracing.com). They replace your factory leaf spring shackles and lift your vehicle 1-2".
AALs are add-a-leafs and are exactly as they sound also. Its and extra leaf spring that gives you about the same lift as shackles. The only problem with AALs is that they will stiffen up your ride a lil bit.
Any other Q's feel free to ask.

Awesome thanks!! thats a little far down the road though. haha.
But really where should I start now? I have no idea...
I am thinking just simple lift blocks for the rear and dont know what to do to the front. I have heard of the T-Bar crank but I dont even know if I have one on my truck....?
Suggestions??

I am hoping to do it this weekend. What should I be careful of?
One other question, can someone explain to me in non-mechanic terms how the Chevy lowering shackles are a lift for rangers? Furthermore, what is a shackle and where can i find it on my truck?

Yah around $100 bucks, because I also want new shocks. Any links on the size that i need for the new shocks?
By coil spacers do you mean the rubber things in-between the coils, or the metal blocks that go underneath the spring itself?
How much does a spindle cost? and what is it?
Thanks for answering my dumb questions.

Spindle around $300, it holds the wheel, it is positioned between the upper and lower control arms, holds the rotors as well. basically the spot where the wheel mounts is pushed down 3 inches.
