Icon5 Stock 2003 Edge 2WD Sits Lower Than Other Stock Edges (pics)

I'm new to truck suspension so bear with me. Lately, I've noticed that my Edge sits a bit lower compared to other stock Edge Rangers. Truck has 75,2xx at this point ( I bought it used last year at 62K miles). I've been right next to other Edge trucks sitting in traffic and the height of the door on other Edges is always higher. Is this just a symptom of my front shocks going bad? I have new 30x9½R15 BFGoodrics tires on there and looking at the front end I am starting to think the front has lost or is losing the ride height it had from the factory. This truck is stock and staying that way so lifts or drops are not going to happen here. I've read after searching that Bilstein has pretty much the best reputation when it comes to shocks for these trucks. They are out of my budget for a long while so what would be a good OEM replacement for the time being until I could afford the Bilsteins?

I usually tend to think the truck should sit higher over the tire than it appears in this pic.

Sagging torsion bars are always a possible reason. 30x9.50 tires are smaller than stock. Those two varibles, is the most likely reason for a "low" edge. You can jack up the front of the truck, and crank the torsion bar bolts to gain some lift....about 1.5" max.

Stock replacement FX4 Level 2 bilsteins only run $240 shipped on ebay. That's for all four shocks. Sagging front end really doesn't have anything to do with bad shocks.

30 x 9.50 are larger than stock tires, unless its a level 2 which came with 31s.

Sagging bars and worn shocks can have some effect....

My truck came with 235/70/16's stock on a 2wd edge. Those tires are 29.1" tall (BFGOODRICH long trials) a 30 x 9.5 BFG all terrain is 29.5" tall. Also, 4x4 trucks have 255/70/16 (thats what I upgraded to) and those are anywhere from 30.2-30.5" tall depending on the brand. A 31x10.5 BFG all terrain is 30.7" tall...

Thanks, guys. I'll have to look the suspension over a bit closer. Where I am staying I don't have the means of ripping parts off the truck or working on it in general. Apartments management considers this a niussance (sp?). Since I'm still learning about truck suspension, what part of the torsion bars am I supposed to look at to determine if they are bad or sagging as you guys mentioned?

Yeah, I am hearing this more and more, but they do come with 255/70/16's more often then not. I think thats funny that Ford would actually put 2 different sized tires on there like that and not make it an option. Actually if you go on the Ford website and build your own Ranger, it will show 255/70/16 as the standard and only size for a 16" wheel 4x4......
