Is there a batch being made currently?

 

Just completed my conversion, will have pictures soon. Had problems with the long rod ends on my 5" Fox shock. They were compressed 3-4" at full droop which left no room for up-travel. Decided to try the stock rod ends after seeing a post on here. They do clear the driveshaft on my 2003 Ranger, while allowing maximum travel.

 

I've always got parts in process. The shop has started keeping stock of the cut parts so when I order brackets, they just need to be welded and powdercoated.

Right now, turn around time is 2-3 weeks from time of payment to shipping.

 

Hello, been creeping here for a bit. Currently truck has BTF upper and a Maxtrac 4" lift spindle.

Will the coilover mentioned in previous posts work?

How does the coilover fair up to off-road abuse? I'll be willing to test.

NOTE: Upon completing install of my upper and spindle, stock shock was to short. Called Camburg and they clarified a longer shock was needed and I purchased it. However the specs have rubbed off the shock body and I can't figure the lengths now.

 

Is your truck a torsion bar suspension, or coil spring suspension?

Coilover setups with the right shocks and springs will fair very well off-road.

As for your length, just take a shock out and measure the distance between eyelets compressed and extended, and deduct about 3-4" (for the new brackets). There's your dimensions for the new coilover shocks.

How much are they and how do we go about ordering them?

 

I ordered my brackets about 2-3 years ago and finally installed them about 3 days ago, all installed on an explorer. I used QA1 coilovers I bought form a explorerforum member with 650lb coils. I need some stiffer coils but for now she's good to go. Still need to install some limt straps. Here are a few pics of my setup. Thanks again for the brackets me00stepside!

 

Looks good, but are you going to be running your 4WD again? If so, you'll need extended rod ends on those shocks (this will also allow you to back off the pre-load on the springs so you're not having to push them all the way down).

 

Yes I so plan on running 4wd again I'm just waiting on my extended eyelets to get here form the mfg, have a month wait but they should be here soon and I was pretty exited to get these in. I also need to reboot my cv

 

Hey, sorry didn't see this till today. But my truck is torsion sprung. I think Even if I measure, it will be about an inch off so a 2.0x6 coilover should be suffice. I'm going to try and let you guys know. But I'll be going with remote resi coils.

What else you will need:
2 coilover shocks
2 coil springs
2 limit straps and brackets

What you may need:
Bump stops if you are lifting your truck at the same time, but if you already have a Superlift, or if you are remaining at stock height, you can reuse what you have. You simply need to trim back the bracket on the frame where the bump stop mounts, so that the coilover will clear it. You then redrill a hole in the remaining part of the bracket and mount the bump stop further in.

Excellent but it's more a result of installing higher performance shocks than anything. The tune ability in spring rate is also very nice.

 

I'm super-lifted so after reading through the posts it appears I will need a 12" coil spring as opposed to the 10" spring?

 

I have a 2wd edge with the 3in fabtech lift spindles. Can I run these brackets with my spindles? If so what size shock do I need?

 

Does anybody know if ME00Stepside is still selling the bracket kit? I sent payment because he had bumped the information for the purchase but I haven't heard anything as of yet?

 

Ok, dumb question. I am getting closer to installing my brackets and ordering coil overs.

Will I gain ANY lift? Or would it just like stock height?I have 1" body pucks here but if I don't need them, I would prefer NOT to use them

You'll get the same lift as you would from cranking your torsion bars

 

Ok, but it will actually hold the lift and not sag out like the torsion bars have?

 

That may depend on the coils. I haven't heard of anyone with the eibach coils sagging. What coilovers were you looking at?

 

no clue. It has been over a year since I bough the brackets and were looking at coil overs. IIRC there was shop in FL that everyone was using

Now, what size limiting straps do I need and do they just get bolted on with the hardware that holds the coil over?
