bump to the last page:

Latest Pricing:
Kit with powdercoated brackets: $290
Kit with raw brackets: $270

Shipping:
$17 US
$46 Canada

Kit includes:
4 brackets (2 upper, 2 lower)
4 gussets to reinforce shock tower
2 shock tower spacers for upper mounts
8 rod end spacers (for 1/2" wide rod ends--like Fox)
All hardware to install--grade 8 zinc plated

Stainless steel hardware is an additional $25

What else you will need:
2 coilover shocks
2 coil springs
2 limit straps and brackets

What you may need:
Bump stops if you are lifting your truck at the same time, but if you already have a Superlift, or if you are remaining at stock height, you can reuse what you have. You simply need to trim back the bracket on the frame where the bump stop mounts, so that the coilover will clear it. You then redrill a hole in the remaining part of the bracket and mount the bump stop further in.[/QUOTE]

To add yourself to the list:
1. Send payment to sbeau1 (at) metrocast (dot) net.
.......include in your instructions that it's for Ranger coilover brackets, and if you want powdercoated or not
2. quote the latest update to the list and add your info (remove the quote code from your post)
3. check in on the thread for updates.

I will update the list to show what has shipped, so it should be easier to keep track of.

Fit an Ex

I have a 2000 V8 awd Explorer, will this fit it also? This will be for stock height, maybe 1-2" lower for handling as I don't go off roading in this truck, just want better ride/handling.

coilover kit and fos coilovers snd springs available

If anyone is interested I bought a set of these brackets powdercoated months back before the 1st of thr year. I also had F.O.A. make coilovers for me with the right length rod ends for a Superlift truck. I have the 12" 600lb springs as well. Everything is brand new. Ive been building a buggy and could use the extra funds for the coilovers and run flats on that and I wont be installing these as I may go straight axle. Me00stepsides kit is top notch. Im not trying to overstep him but if anyone is interested shoot me a pm. I will take $725 shipped for it all.

I noticed in some pictures that some people have put a spacer between the upper coil over mount and the original shock tower. Is this necessary? My coil is close to the frame but does not rub when cycled...

The hole in the top of the stock shock tower would be too big for the 1/2" bolt, so the spacer that comes with the kit (if that's what you're referring to) is needed to adapt to the large hole and stabilize the bracket against a flat surface.

For anyone considering this kit and hasn't see this yet, I've posted a full writeup with shopping list, prep instructions and install how-to (inserted into Superlift install steps). It's a great kit and not that difficult to install once you have all the pieces sorted out.

Exactly. The spacer has nothing to do with the clearance between the springs. It's about getting the bracket seated correctly, in the right spot, with no play. If you haven't put the spacer in, and you've already drilled the two holes for the bolts in the back of the upper bracket, the only thing I can recommend is to cut down the aluminum spacer that was included in the kit so that it's as short as possible, but still able to do it's job of centering the bolt in the upper shock hole.

The spacer really doesn't need to be that thick, but it's about the same as the original RCD kit, so I stuck with it.

Everything above the line is already covered by the last build. The two international ones that are not marked as shipped yet are getting shipped tomorrow.

I have a few more sets being welded up and powdercoated, so Al, you'll get yours soon.

Once again, as soon as anyone can pay, send payment and put yourself on the list. Turn around time this way should remain under a month, as I will be doing small batches and not waiting for a big list buildup.

Could I run a coil-over swap without the 4'' superlift?
