Alignment and Handling question.

Alignment and Handling question.
This question is for D. and all you other "stick to the road through the twisties" guys.
My truck is dropped 4/5 in the accepted DJM fashion. I also added a 1.25" BelTech sway bar. All this worked well, and other than some under steer at 55+mph through hard corners, it rode like it was on rails. BUT, I discovered that my tie rods were contacting the frame at times, so I flipped them to gain more clearance. The problem I have now is bump steer. I've played with my toe in, and got it to a point where it feels good in a straight line, but through hard corners, the tire will squeal and it gets a bit squirelly if I hit a bump in the turn. My camber is pretty much neutral, and was before the rod flip, but my confidence in cornering has been greatly reduced. This makes me wonder if I should even pursue carving corners, if I can't go lower and still do it. Please help me out with ideas to fix this, 'cause I can't stand slowing down to turn!
Thanks!

I had the same problem and put the rod ends back to ' normal '. A good part of that ' bump steer ' is the factory rack. It just has a lot of ' give ' in it.
Flaming river makes a rack for a pinto thats a 17:1 ratio. They make a manual version of it as well ( summit racing online has them ) .
I bent 2 factory racks, then had a local shop replace it instead of doing the third one myself. I know its not a ' factory ' one but haven't a clue as to what it is. Its a ' remanufactured ' unit and has survived 2 years of abuse. Its starting to leak now though.
