Icon5 KYB, pro comp, or Bilsteins?

Ive tried searching but with no avail..

I DEF. need to upgarde shocks, purty sure there original 86,xxx..

Well I know bilsteins are well respected, and look cool....

I have never "off-roaded the ranger", but once the BL w/33s come thatll be another story....I ride the roads, but want a good looking shock.

I may take it down some ruff roads sometimes, and in the future. SO what do you guys think are the best shocks to invest in::

1. Pro comp es3000
2. Bilsteins (yellow ones)
3. KYB monomax??

KYB's FTMFW!!!

Which ones you gettin? The MonoMax's or the Gas-A-Justs?

If you offroad, id go with the MonoMax's.
If not go with the Gas-A-Justs.

Nevermind, brainfart.

What made you decide to go with the KYB's?

Love my factory Bilsteins.. A lot!

So much I bought Bils' for my toy car. For the toy there are really three popular choices I was looking at: Bils', KYB AGX (adjustables), or KYB GR2's (non-adjustables). The price is right for the GR2's.. and they are supposedly a fine shock. The AGX's add adjust ability, at a cost. But then the rep on the Bils' is that they are just indestructible. One review I read used the term "surgical".

Hmmm, you might sacrifice performance for looks...imo not a smart choice.

Not to **** you off or anything.

Its like buying a IFS truck to rock crawl instead of buying a truck that has a SFA just b/c the IFS truck looks better...you gonna loose performance.

Who says the better "looking" option is of lower performance? The first sentence in his post indicates that he is under the impression that the performance of the two options are comparable.

Exactly IMO everything I've read says KYB and Bilstein are the best so whichever I choose they'll do fine. I don't need no super shock, as I'm sure Dustin doesn't either. I just want something that rides good on the road and then will perform decent offroad if I go. I think thats what Dustin is looking for as well.
