2006 xl suspension?

i purchased a 2006 xl 2.3 5sp 2wd 3 weeks ago and it has 31 in tires with 15x12.5 wheels. my question is what kind of suspension comes on that year stock i think mine is lifted my shocks are fabtech but im not sure how else its lifted. i would like to lower it but i dont know what that will entail if its already lifted. any help would be great im a newbie to suspension mods. thanks guys

Probably a fabtech lift spindles. Should be lifted about 3 inches. Keep in mind, if you 31revome them, you are going to have to get new tires. 31's will most likely rub.

find a set of spindles from the wreckers, and swap them out for the fabtech ones. if you have the basic tools then probably under 2 hours of work to change it back. it probably has an add-a-leaf installed in the rear also so you will need to remove that also which may be a pain..

Depends on how mechanicly inclined you are. Not terribly difficult. You are going to have to replace your spindles, wheel bearings etc. But you can get the spindles at the junk yard for fairly cheap. Try and find Fabtechs instructions for the lift and work backwards, thats my advice

as far as i know all the newer trucks were t bar suspensions. you will have a couple bars running under the front frame rail going through the lower control arms.
