4" lift leaf springs and 3" DJM rear flip kit

Okay stay with me but before I buy I need somone to agree with me or tell me its a bad idea.

What I have
91 2WD Ranger with really bad stock springs.
Right now I have the DJM 3" lowering kit and all I do is hit the frame against the axle when I go over any kind of bump.

What I want
I figured out I don't want it lowered anymore. I actually don't know what i want right now but I know I can't keep this up.
So I saw on ebay a set of rear leaf springs from rough country. These springs are for 4" of lift. I called a dude at rough country and he told me these are for a 4WD. They can fit a 2WD but they will give more of a 5-6" lift. He said if they are put on a 2WD it messes up the driveshaft.

BUT the lowering kit moves the drvieshaft away from the transmission. So since I'm raising the rear about 1 or 2 inches above stock height can't I turn the flip kit around to move the driveshaft towards the transmission?

Let me know what you think or if it would be a good idea to buy stock srpings on ebay for 113 a pop. or if re-arching would be a good idea

Take the flipkit off and install new leafs...

problem solved..

And a flipkit isnt 3 inches if it is using the stock shackles, if you have the djm lifting shackles than its a 3 inch drop if stock shackles its a 5 inch drop.

I don't understand how that wouldn;t be a 3 inch drop. The axle is now on top of the leaf springs so it may not be exactly 3 inches but it is definetly lower. Please explain more.
Thank you

Thank you
with stock shackles a flipkit nets you 5 inches of drop

with the lifting shackles which are longer than the stock shackles it raises it 2 inches thus netting you with a 3 inch drop.

Im guessing you didnt install the flipkit?

Yup.

Just put a bolt in notch if you want to keep it lowered or trim your bumpstops. I never bottomed out really with just a flipkit out back and It was like a half inch away from the bump stops..

Sounds good glad you decided to keep it lowered somewhat.

Glad I could help you.
