its on! SAS

hey guys just wanted to stop in and keep ya guys posted ...i built my front suspension just like ZABEARDS i machined out my own adjustable coil spacers made from shock and spring loom just have to get the loom bent tomorrow morning so i can start tackin stuff up then friday deconstruction starts and i will hopefully have my yota gear box here. other than that things are lookin pretty OK = ) here is some of what i got welded up 2nite i kinda ran out of time i just wanted everything to be perfect. my 4 link still has to be welded and heim joints installed but its all good...heres a pic of my shock spring set up..the long straight peice is my loom thats gettin bent tomorrow its 1 3/4x1/8 DOM tubing and frame brackets : )

Stick welding huh? Good to see someone else has to chip slag just like me, lol.

hmm thats good stuff..

stick is a pain in the *** IMO

modernize and MIG..thats the way to go (:

MIG is all well and good, but getting a MIG welder is pricey! And stick can still get you really strong welds, though MIG is still strong enough for anything you'd need on your truck.

with the right MIG the welds can be even better.

Arc it all depends on what rod you are using. Stick/Arc sucks, but that is what I am learning with, my dad can mig so much faster than he can stick weld.

Stick welding is an Art. Mig you can just slap it together and weld and it normally works.

couldnt of said it better..

i MIG 20 hours out of a 40 hour week..so much easier and it looks so much better and no damn chipping

actually guys its mig welded with fluxcore : )

thats what i have.. cant afford the damn bottle yet
