so i got an alignment...
about a week ago i went to this local shop in town to get an alignment. needed one pretty bad cuz it was startin to wear the inside lugs on the front tires and i was hopin thats what was causin all my front end problems and poppin noises. well, the guys that did the job said he aligned it as much as he could w/ this kit that rangers use. he told me since i cranked the Tbars that he couldnt adjust anymore and that it was pretty good and to keep an eye on it. he said something bout gettin some kind of torsion keys to replace the ones i have to fix the problem. anyone know about those?
and another question. when i hit a bump when turning theres a little pop, is that my UBJ/UCA? and any idea what could be causing my steering wheel to pop when coming back to strait? it pops ones every full rotation when cutting back. also, when i hit a bump fairly hard or i drop off in a pothole (usually happens on left wheel) it makes a loud crack noise. any idea? im thinkn that its my shocks bottoming out bc they are so worn out or my suspension bottoming out due to the Tbar crank. thanks

number 1: a real shop wouldn't align a truck with bad ball joints or tie rods.
number 2: go to summitracing.com, look up a '00 f150, and find the ingalls brand cam bolts. Stock cam bolts don't allow for much if any camber adjustment. These ingall's brand ones allow for 3 degrees of additional negative or positive camber.
number 3: getting torsion keys would not solve your problem and will do the reverse of what this 'shop' says they'll do. it'll only make your problems worse.
number 4: I'll say it for the like 5th or 6th time....your popping while turning is tie rod ends. I still suspect your upper BJ's and lower BJ's are shot.

Yep, exactly! Same thign is happening with my own truck, eventually I'll be ordering up some UCA, LCA and tie rod's which runs right around ~350 if you go with moog single piece arms.. saves more money in the long run though.

yea, go to oreilys, they are a lil cheaper than some other places w/ moog. the lowers shouldnt be shot, the dealer i bought it from put em on before the stuck it on the lot. if they are shot imma be pissed, cut THREE MFing shops said that nothing is wrong. thats including the ford stealership. the only thing the stealership found was a bad front axle shaft/bearing (had it fixed 3 days later) and said the PS Outer TRE had a little play in it.
and shane, that popping isnt heard outside. its just in the stearing wheel. the only time i hear popping outside is when im goin slow and turnin backin up and sometimes goin forward slow and turnin. and i think my left CV is shot cuz it clicks when turnin (usually left) and someone on here said his clicked when they were goin out, then they just finally blew. its got a yr warrenty so im not worried bout it.
