15" Rims won't fit on 2010-11 4x4???
Hoping someone can actually give me an answer to this, because I haven't been able to find one at all.
I have a 2010 4x4 sport that came with stock 16x7" alloys. I want to run 15x8" (3.75 BS -19mm offset) steelies and assumed this wouldn't be an issue as lots of rangers run this size. However I was told that they will not fit by one shop, another said they should, and ford told me they may or may not. I guess the reason being that the 2010-11 rangers were given rear disk brakes and larger brake rotors and calipers in the front then previous years, 2WD's, and the FX4 models.
Can anyone confirm or deny this? Are there any members running 15" on a 2010 or 2011 4x4 sport? If so how did you get them to fit?
Any help would be appreciated!

Thats what I was hoping, the ones I was looking at are indeed 3.75 BS. I'm not personally a fan of larger rim to tire ratio, which is why I want to down size. Larger sidewall has its advantages for on and off road applications. with only a 2" lift installed, I will have to stay with a 32 or 33, so smaller rim just made sense to me. Also I'm on a budget lol, tires are expensive in Canada. The difference buying a 15" tire vs. 16" will save me almost $300. Thank you for the help :)

UPDATE!
Ended up ordering Pro Comp 97 series rims 15x8 matte black, with 32x11.5r15 BFG Ko2's. Had no fitment issues at all! Although they are pretty tight to the Calipers. I will try to see if i can get under the truck and snap a photo at how close. But here is a few photos of the rubber and rim set up.

I know this is an old thread, but I just picked up a 2011 Sport 4x4 with 16x7s on it. I'm glad to hear that 15's fit as I'm looking to go with them as well. BigRed is running steelies though, I wonder if an alloy wheel will be slightly thicker and make the inside diameter a tiny bit smaller, making that tiny gap he mentioned too tight. Anyone have any thoughts?
And for what it's worth, tires for 15s are much cheaper than for 16s, and sizes are easier to understand!

Thats a good question, I think they may be a little thicker. Because I have heard of 15s not fitting 2010-11 Rangers and maybe thats Alloys? But if you get the right offset and back spacing it may not be an issue. I will try to take a picture of how much room there is so you can see. It is pouring rain here right now so it might not be today.
Are you planning on ordering your rims online? Most shops will test fit them for you before you purchase, if you have that option. I also agree, 15s are so much cheeper for tires and the rubber to rim ratio looks much better in my opinion. Also a little bit of a softer ride.

I was planning to order them online. Not so sure now. I'd love 15s but I fear they'd be too tight on the calipers or not fit at all.
Another advantage of 15s is that you can easily find a backspacing under 4". On a 16" wheel, they're all 4 or 4.5" which equal to stock. So I may as well run spacers on the stock wheels then.
I'm not sure of the backspacing on my stockers, ive read 4 and 4.5", I guess I need to pop one off and check it out.
I'm looking to get 265/75 16s which is 31.6x10.5, which is the closest I can get to 32x11.50s.
I'm guessing you have 3.73s right?
Do they turn those 32s alright?
Do you have rubbing issues at all?
What is your backspacing?
Sorry for all the inquiries, info on '10-11s are hard to find.

I'm disappointed in the differences between my old 2002 vs the newer 2011s. The '02 seemed to have much better suspension from the factory.
