33's with 17's or 18's?

I scored a good job this summer on an oil rig. If everything goes to plan...like i HOPE it does...im gonna order a good bit of stuff for my truck. lift, tires/rims and a few other things... I like the big rim, big tire look. I'm gonna get the MT classic beadlock rims.... With 33's....should I get those in 17 or 18 inch rims?

17s look killer with 33s and up! I don't think I've seen a ranger with 18s and 33s. DO IT!!!

if you go with 18s you will have less options as far off roading tires go. 18s are more for street tires. And if it matters tires for 18 inch wheels are more expensive than the same diameter tire on a 17 inch wheel.

I like the idea of 17's better but would rather see 18's with the 33's because I never have.

Dude go with 18s and get these tires, Kumho Road Venture MT

They purposedly made for onroad looks with offroad action, and are most likely MUCH cheaper than any BFG tire.

17's

i sent an email to kumho to help urge them to make 33" kl71's on a 17" rim. the response was positive.
Gumby,
Thank you for your email and your support.

We are planning on adding more sizes to the KL71 line. And the 17" is one of the size that we are adding to the line, however, we don't have any firm information as to what size yet. Please continue to check with your dealers for any news or by calling KUMHO Tire at 800-445-8646.

Thank you,

He only asked for opinions on whether he should get 17s or 18s, not if you like the big wheel/big tire combo.

good luck with the job man, and be careful! i was going to do that (even had the hook up) but the parents wouldnt let me. since i still live at home i figured i should listen to them.

either would look BA, i'd say 18s if everthing works out this summer

and get nitto mud grapplers :)

I say 17s. I think 18s would be more expensive and the difference would be minimal. My first choice would be 15s with 33s... 17s with 35s.
