Icon5 finally got my ranger! it needs tires, i need advice

hey everyone, i ended up picking up an 03 Edge xcab 3.0 manual. it has 4.10s. it needs tires, i was gonna put factory size 235's, but it has some 255/70r15's and im running 2800 at 70. i wanna put the size tire for best milage. do i go back to 235's, run a little more rpm, but not so much rotating mass, or do i go to 265's and run less rpms? i tried a search but couldnt find anything. again im looking for best mileage. thanks!

o yea, heres her first pic, and her first fill up

Bigger tires on a 3.0 are not going to help mileage at all. I see you said the truck has 255 70 15? If you have 15's I would run a 31x10.5 15

Well a 265/75 is about 29.8. I don't want to go too big. I don't mind the rpm's. I just don't wanna get too bad gas milage

Get a programmer to fix the speedometer and you will get a more accurate MPG reading. You can also get another 10hp out of the 3.slow.

Why would you want to bypass antitheft?

because i only have one key, and i'd rather only keep the little key with me. a guy at work is talking to a guy at the ford dealership to try to program it on the side. and the vehicle theft in our area is almost non existent. i thought i read on some other PATS threads about getting a programmer to disable it. o well, hopefully ill get it done through ford.

btw: tires MIGHT be in tomorrow. if they are ill have them on first thing saturday morning, if not they will be on monday.
