Question on wheel specs
Hey, I was looking at getting some wheels for my 08 FX4, and I can get a deal on the Eagles. They are very similar to the DC-1s, but the offset seems to be kind of odd, however im not familer with this. The Eagles 15x8s say they have an offset of -30mm, it doesnt tell the backspacing which I know everyone goes by. The DC-1 15x8s say they have a offset of -21 and a backspacing of 3-5/8. I want to run 31x10.5s and dont want the wheels to stick out too far from where factory ones would. I was just wondering which ones would be best to get spec wise. Edit: I didn't even think about this before, but Im not sure if I can even run 15s for sure on this truck, if someone knows the answer for sure let me know
Thanks
Thanks

Some 15's will work, some won't. Generally the best idea is to test fit and see if they will clear the calipers.
Here are 15x8's with 3.75" backspacing on my ranger, for reference.
They don't stick out all that far. I know I have a better shot down the side somewhere but I need to get some sleep soon...

Negative offset wheels are for a RHD application, which is exactly what trucks need. Center line of wheel minus the offset(because it's a negative) = wheel backspace. Let me do some math...
1 inch = 25.4mm
30mm = 1.18 inch
4 - 1.18 = 2.82" ~ 2 13/16"ish backspace on a 8" wheel w/ -30mm offset. AKA...sticking out pretty decent...but acceptable. 1" less than my 10" w/ 4" backspace.
GOSH I hope I did that right. lol. The backspace sounds weird to me though.
