2nd gen Bl ?'s (searched long and hard)
2nd gen Bl ?'s (searched long and hard)
im finding things are hard for the 2nd gen guys here, after a lot of searching, i find theres a lot of pertinent info but most of it applies to the later models. couple of ?'s i was hoping someone could answer so i can decide if this 3" BL idea is worth it.
keep in mind i have a 1991 ranger w/no AC
can the t-case lever be extended? does it even need to be? will the 4-low engage with the BL installed? (some guys with later models have problems with this i see) i HAVE to have 4-low work
does the steering linkage need to be extended?
how about the fuel filler neck? extended?
finally any hoses or lines (radiator, vacuum, etc) need extending?
am i missing anything?
i talked with the PA rep on the phone today and her said none of these things apply but i wanted to check with the community here and talk with 2nd gen guys that have actualy installed a 3" BL.
thanks in advance for your help!

The BL kit should come with a steering shaft extension. I have had no problems with mine, but I'm not a second gen. just wanted to let you know about the steering extension.
damn, beat me to it by a few seconds.

thanks for the replies so far, unfortunately Superlifts install instruction page is down atm, ill check back. PA's site doesnt list any details about the kit, so i didnt know it would include any extensions for steering or radiator brackets. im still uneasy about the t-case linkage...
i wish there was a section for the 2nd gen guys here
from the many threads ive read it sounds that a good amt of owners cant get there t-case into 4-low after the BL install, i wanna be sure mine will
it should go into low, you may need to trim the body some but doubtful
