So I dropped my truck off to get some work done on it. They gave me a loaner. I definitely like my fusion better in every aspect. Dont get me wrong the first gens are nice, but the second gens are way nicer!

i dunno, i'm torn. there are things about gen1 i like nad things about gen2 i like. colour is a big factor tho. i saw a deep amithyst gen1 no tint, tan leather interior and fell in love with it. they stopped offering that colour for 08 and i was upset. it would have been a tossup for my truck or that fusion.

 

Not enough room sadly. Other wise it would be.

 

my dealer never offers me a loaner while they change the oil... wtf. But you've probably bought like 6 cars from them so I guess you have a hook up

 

the gen2 looks sweet, when i got a loaner all they would give me was a focus, apearently you have to be 21 for them to lend me a fusion haha, get a cover for that stang atleast to keep thieving eyes off of it haha im sure theres alot that would wanna steal that thing

youll like the second gen better until the trans starts to hate you...the fnr5 in the first gens is an okay trans, still junk but nothing compared to the 6f35

 

gen2 ftw, the body just looks so much nicer now and i just love the front ends now

 

Only thing i've noticed is it doesn't like shifting when its not warmed up enough. However that's what the warranty is for lol. If it ****'s up they pay the bill.

 

I've got a 1st Gen black Fusion. But i was mad when i bought the 2009 fusion, then the new ones came out the next year.
