Another body lift thread.

Hey guys I have been considering putting a body lift on the ranger, but I have some questions I have not been able to find answers for. I have been searching but have not been able to find any definite answers.

First, my struck is a 5 speed. I have heard there are issues with the shifters not clearing the cupholders.

Also, has anyone done a body lift on a 2.3 duratec truck? Are there any issues that do not exist on other trucks? For example battery cables, intake, and brake lines?

Thanks, also if anyone might have underhood pics of a duratec truck with a BL that would be appreciated.

Thanks

the body lift kit comes with a shifter extension to clear the cup holders.

im sure theres a couple that have done it to a 2.3 duratec. a body lift is a body lift. brake lines don't have to be extended.

The kit doesn't come with the shifter extension, you have to buy that seperate.

I have never heard of them coming with the shifter kits. I always remember it being extra. Which kit did you get?

I think here in a week or two I might go ahead and order a summit BL and shift extension. I think a body lift for 98-00 should work... at least verything I have been reading on here and RPS says that it should work on my 07.

I put the 98-00 summit body lift kit on my 2008 2.3l 5 speed. i didnt have any problems. As long as you get the shifter extension (it was seperate) there you shouldnt have any issues clearing the cup holders.
