I put a set of 35x12.50 tires on my truck today mounted on 15x10 soft 8's and they actually fit fine... a little rubbing on the valance but no big deal. Anyone running this size tire with just a t-bar crank and 3 inch Body lift? Just wandering... about to order some for my double lift and need to know if they fit or not. without suspension for the time being... Amy help would be greatly appreciated.

 

I did for a night lol too my buddies tires off his truck. The rub bad when your off the road but it just is valance and fender flairs in parking lot maneuvers

 

I dd'd it for a week or so....without valence without flares. Gaurenteed to rip 01-05 flares off at full lock. On top of that, you're DC1s stick out 1/2" farther out than my wheels....which equals even closer to rippin' **** off. This is a street driven review. Don't even get me started on trying to drive it off road.

I thought the whole point of doing 32's is to make the truck easier to drive, more of a traveling vehicle, more economical??? You b!tched enough about having 33's and 3" BL...you expect 35's to be fun?



EDIT: btw....maxed torsion bars are a must too..

I know i had my SL on with 35's and she rubbed.. thats with maxed tbars.. Im sure a BL with 35's will rub even worse.. No rubbing with the DL though:)

 

So you complained about loss of power with 33s and now you want 35s?

35's on stock gears is gonna suck and the power loss and decrease in MPG is not gonna be in the direction that we all thought you wanted to go.

If you double like thats different. Then I say do it.

 

I did it for like a week, rubbed like a ***** on rough roads. Then again my RCD+ body lift on 35s was still lower than Eric on his SL+body and 35s :(

^matt, a RCD'd and BL'd truck is LOWER than a SL'd And BL'd truck? Interesting, i always thought the RCD yielded 5.5" of lift?

 

Wheel width? If his wheels weren't as wide as yours then he would've sat a tad bit higher.

 

If the RCD was on stock springs that sagged like a mother and the SL was on newer 'tight' torsion bars, yeah, SL can be taller than RCD. Me...I'm no where near Trevor on his 750lb springs and also no where near Austin on his coil-overed SL with 600lb springs. Damn these maxed out saggy torsion bars. They both got a little over an inch on me.

 

the springs were damn near new.. only a few weeks on them.

I'm probably at your height. IDK WTF how he's that tall. lol. We both know the variables here....preload on the springs/bars. Could be that you were cranked down some and he was maxed on the bars. IDK. lol. I wish I was Karma's height though. haha.

 

He's got some good plans for his truck, I cant wait to see where it goes after once he gets back to work on it.

 

i didn't kill any of my flares or valance when i was wheeling but i couldn't turn to full lock. but i have torsion keys and shackles with my bl so i don't know if that made the difference and mines not maxed either i'm probably just at the stock # of turns in on the bolts maybe a little more

 

35's with just a BL looks to stuffed IMO. It may fit but that doesnt mean it looks good.

 

my buddy is running 35x12.5R15 on his '00 ranger with only a body lift and torsion keys (not cranked) so the truck is sitting level, you just gotta get wheels with a 4in backspace to give it a little more room

 

I just put 315/75/16 on my factory rims and it rubs on my frame and sway bar on the front, the rear they hit my flares and already ripped a front plug out of the fender that i replaced with a bolt so got to do that again. I'll get some pictures sat and make my own thread

 

On my old 2003 Ranger I ran 35x12.50 on 15x10 wide wheels with just a body lift, add a leaf, and torsion crank. It was IMO the best look filling the wheel wells nicely and it only rubbed on the mud flaps for a short time, till they came off.
