about budgeting time to do it, one thing i learned the hard way last weekend, i went to swap out my IFS, now this is my first time doing any kind of lift so it was all new to me, this is my DD so i got started early sunday morning, will ended up not fitting, just barrly, fighting for hrs and i ended up not being able to finish it that nite due to closes being closed. this next weekend ill start on saturday morning and i should be done b4 dinner now that i know what im doing and have the right tools. the point that im trying to get at is ya u can do a body lift in 45 min, but thats with 2 people that have done it b4? with all the right tools hands? first time for almost anything takes longer,

beaver25 03-14-2007 01:32 PM

how much harder is it going tobe if I dont have access to a impact gun?

Spray those bolts asap though doug435!!!!!!!! helps big time, PB all the way!!! :439:

I'm doing mine in a couple weeks, and I've done one ugly one on a ranger, no spray on bolts, and alot of extra work. I bet I can get my bed done in an hour (with taking a PITA toolbox off and liner, and possibly grinding two bolts down :irked: , then the cab shouldn't be that bad, got a efan too, guessin 3 hours on that to give me room for a custom bracket for the intake and wire extension on the efan (was a dumbass and didn't leave enough slack.

and gonna spray the bolts over a week in advance so should go smoothely :biggthump

doug435 03-14-2007 04:23 PM

well started at 10:30 this moring im just now getting the last side of the cab on the blocks ... the bed is done execpt for fule neck extention ... but im having a hard time trying to be in two places at once... btw i think its more then 3 inchs ahahah or the suspions saged cause new to top of the bed s to my sholder and im 5'8 ... ahahah this is great .. a few cuts and some *****in later but im allmost done about a nother 3 hours by my clock ... i need to be done by 7 and its 5:30 ... so we will see ... quest ill stop by sometime soon to let you check it out and btw thanks for offering to help i didint even get on the comp this moring to look ... but ya im back to work !
